Senior Environmental Analyst

CEQA/NEPA professional to research, analyze, compose, and provide other support as needed in the preparation of environmental impact statements/reports, mitigation plans, and biological assessments. Participates in Section 7 Consultations and other environmental studies. Requires 3-5 years of experience in preparing EIS/EIRs, EA and related documentation. A BS in planning, environmental studies, geography, ecology, natural resources, or related fields is required. Knowledge of Federal and State laws/regulations and large project experience is highly desirable. Strong writing and communication skills required.

Director, Environmental Programs

Charis Corporation is seeking an innovative and creative individual with excellent planning and coordination skills to fill a position at the Corporate Office located in Temecula, California. The position is responsible for managing and integrating a wide variety of environmental professionals engaged in environmental assessments, cultural and natural resource management, environmental documentation, endangered species issues, state and federal actions involving NEPA and CEQA. The incumbent exercises significant authority and independence in implementing a broad range of services and programs in coordination with other corporate executives and managers. Supervisory experience is required.

The qualified candidate will have a Master’s Degree in environmental science, planning, or a related field with 8+ years of progressively responsible project or program management experience. NEPA/CEQA experience is required. A Bachelor’s degree with appropriate relevant experience can be substituted for a Master’s degree .


NEPA Coordinator

Charis Corporation is seeking an innovative and creative individual with excellent planning and coordination skills to fill the position of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Coordinator in the Directorate of Public Works at Fort Irwin California. The position is responsible for serving as the installation NEPA expert; reviewing, assessing and interpreting NEPA issues relative to Fort Irwin activities; recommending, developing and coordinating the development of installation policies, priorities, and procedures to prevent and eliminate damage to the environment through NEPA compliance; monitor compliance through appropriate methods; directing teams of technical staff/contractors in development, analysis and assessment of NEPA documents (Records of Environmental Consideration, Environmental Assessments); identifying and coordinating, with Fort Irwin organizations, the need for environmental documentation for installation activities; establish systems to track NEPA actions and compliance; presenting information in meetings and other forums; preparing reports; coordinating NEPA activities with other installation organizations and other local, state, and federal agencies.

The qualified candidate will have a Master’s Degree in environmental science, biology, or a related field with considerable knowledge of the National Environmental Protection Act and California state equivalents with progressively increasing responsibility for NEPA program management. A Bachelor’s degree with appropriate relevant experience can be substituted for a Master’s degree .
