The
Friends of the Dunes, a non-profit organization dedicated to
conserving coastal dune environments in Humboldt County, California
through community supported education and stewardship programs,
is seeking an experienced non-profit manager. Desired skills
include overall operations supervision, financial management,
program administration, grant and contract management, membership
growth, board development, and staff and volunteer supervision.
The successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal,
communication, facilitation, and organizational skills, with
a proven record of achievement in grant writing and fundraising.
Minimum qualifications include a bachelors degree and a minimum
of four years experience working directly with a non-profit
organization. The incumbent must have knowledge of, or demonstrate
experience with; grants and contracts management, membership
development, major donor development. Experience should demonstrate
knowledge of management practices, administrative process, and
include administrative management and supervision of professional
staff. Must possess creativity and demonstrate mastery in writing
and other communication skills. Applicant should have excellent
public speaking skills. Must demonstrate an in depth knowledge
of coastal and environmental issues.
