Manice Education Center is a small residential center for environmental
education and outdoor recreation located in the Berkshires of northwestern
Massachusetts. MEC is a non-denominational private non-profit that
accepts low-income students ages (11-18) from NYC.

Lead small, co-ed groups in outdoor lessons on ecology, wilderness
and leadership skills. Overnight supervision of tent group. Five
multi-day summer backpack/canoe trips. QUAL: Self-motivation, patience,
enthusiasm; BA/BS in related field; teaching and outdoor experience;
Current First Aid/CPR and Lifeguard certifications. SLRY: $300/week,
room & board, accident-sickness insurance, equipment discounts,

driver’s license with good record; ability to drive 15 passenger
van with a canoe trailer; significant experience planning wilderness
trips; current First Aid/CPR. SLRY: $275/week, room & board, accident-sickness
