International Canopy Network: TreeTop Barbie project

The International Canopy Network (ICAN) is a non-profit organization dedicated to forest canopy and forest ecosystem conservation though the integration of research, education, and environmental outreach activities that concern forest canopy organisms and interactions. The TreeTop Barbie is an ICAN project designed to raise consciousness among young girls (and boys!) about the importance of forest canopy organisms and interactions.

For a limited time ICAN is offering supporters a TreeTop Barbie doll for those who donate $50 or more.

The TreeTop Barbie Package Includes :

• Rough-and-tumble yet fashionable Barbie field outfit complete with boots, vest, jeans, shirt, and helmet.
• Field gear including: binoculars, rope for climbing, Barbie- and human-sized field guides of the Pacific Northwest , Barbie-sized field data notebook.
• A letter from TreeTop Barbie telling you about her interests. Personalize your TreeTop Barbie letter by telling us the child’s name to whom TreeTop Barbie will be given.
• TreeTop Barbie is available with blonde hair or as a brunette. Brown skinned dolls are also available.

Donations

Donations will go toward this and other outreach ventures geared toward our mission of disseminating scientific information about the forest canopy. To that end, we have set up two suggested donation amounts: one that covers the cost of production, $50, and one that includes an additional contribution to our educational programs, $100.
