Program Coordinator I - Portland, OR. Announcement Number:
OCDT1407. Salary: $2,742 - $3,545 monthly. Description of Duties:
The person in this position assists in the implementation of the federally
mandated National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) within
the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT). This position works
to implement specific program requirements of NPDES to include: updating
and implementing a illicit discharge investigation program, developing
and presenting a water quality maintenance training program; membership
on technical advisory committees, development and documentation of
experimental water quality research projects for compliance with the
Clean Water Act requirements; and support to the Office of Maintenance.
This position requires working in the office and the field. Field
work includes working in inclement weather and frequent statewide
travel. May require overtime, evening and weekend work. Position works
independently with minimal supervision. Education: A Bachelor's degree
with 30 quarter or 20 semester hours in an environmental science,
a physical science, a natural science, engineering, or a closely-related
field; or three years of technical office, lab or field work experience
developing environmental programs. Preference may be given to applicants
who demonstrate education or experience in water quality. Your application
